What Is Hair Therapy?

Over the years I have serviced a large number of guests. Some arrive with confidence in doing their own hair when they need to and some have never really even touched their hair. As a hairstylist, I have devoted myself to educating women on how to keep their hair healthy when they are outside the salon. For that reason, I created Hair Therapy!

Hair Therapy is a deeper look into tips and tricks for healthy hair.

In addition to providing do’s and don’ts of hair care, Hair Therapy also provides women with lists of products, foods, and accessories that will contribute to the overall look and feel of their hair. As we age, our hair goes through phases as our hormones change and leaves us perplexed. We all want the hair we had in our 20’s when we knew we could do whatever we wanted and our hair would “just grow back”.

As the hair industry grows beyond our fingertips, I believe as a stylist it is my job to stay abreast of what’s new in the realm of hair care so that when guests ask questions about things they’ve seen on YouTube, I know how to answer. Most of the time my answers are the same. Don’t do the things you see on YouTube without consulting a stylist. Always, ALWAYS use professional products only!! This is important because of manufacturers’ recommendations and also because of ingredients. You want products to guarantee what they say. Also, a lot of the people you see on YouTube are consumers just trying things at home. Some of them are great but it’s always best to use stylist recommendations, as we do our research on what works and what doesn’t for various hair types, not just our own.

Remember no two curls are the same. Your curls are your fingerprints! Getting in touch with a sense of HAIR THERAPY is a way to make sure you’re on track with taking care of your tresses. It’s ok if you don’t know it all. Check back with Salon902 from time to time to try our recommended products and foods.
