For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to see women when they feel beautiful.

 Being the youngest of a huge family with 7 girls and 1 boy, there was a lot of clothes, makeup and hair. As I grew older hair became my favorite accessory. I loved to cut it, sculpt it, color it, and beautify it in any way I could think of. After graduating a 15 month program in 11 months, I began a journey of absorption. I worked my first job for 2 1/2 years before transferring to Atlanta, Georgia.

As I expanded my education, I began to work more with textures from different nationalities and cultures of people. I mastered my skills in hair and scalp health, gained a clientele quickly, and was able to open my own business after 2 years of working in a salon. On February 14, 2009, I opened Edelweiss Salon, later renamed Salon 902, a salon that focused on the health of the hair and transitioning guests from relaxed to chemical free.

This stage of my absorption journey was profound because I found that I was not only learning about hair but also about myself and the impression I wanted to leave in the hair industry. I wanted to help women not only look good, but to feel good from the inside out. I realized then that as I was educating people on their hair, my guests began to live healthier lives based on the things I was sharing with them. That’s when I knew it was time to go bigger & bolder to share this message with as many people as I can.
